Our trucks already run between nine provinces. Sometimes there is room on them.
Delivery from the branch holding your goods is part of buying from us. Beyond that, customers with a load and no vehicle big enough for it ask whether we can move it — cement, steel, timber and machinery are heavier than most utes will carry.
Where we have capacity on a route we already run, we can quote. It is quoted per load and per route, not from a rate card, because the answer depends on the road, the season and what else is on the truck.
Read this part before anything else.
The second column matters as much as the first. Where something is not ours to do, this page says so rather than leaving you to find out later.
What this covers
- Delivery of goods bought from us, arranged from the branch holding them
- Quotation for moving a customer load on a route we already service
- Loading at our yard where the branch has the equipment for it
- A written quote before anything moves
What it does not cover
- A scheduled or guaranteed service — capacity depends on our own stock movements
- Cover for your goods while we carry them — see the note at the foot of this page
- Dangerous goods, fuel, chemicals or anything requiring a special permit
- Loading or unloading at your site unless it has been agreed in the quote
- Cross-border freight, or anything outside Papua New Guinea
Step by step.
The same sequence every time, so you know what happens next and what is expected of you.
Tell us the load
What it is, what it weighs, how it is packed or palletised, and its dimensions. “A truckload of steel” is not enough to quote from.
Tell us the route
Where it is now and where it has to be, including how far off the main road the destination sits and what the access is like at both ends.
We check capacity
Against our own stock movements on that route. If there is no space in the window you need, we will say so rather than hold you up.
You get a written quote
Price, the window, what is included and what is not. Nothing moves before you accept it in writing.
Delivery and sign-off
The load is signed for at the destination. Any damage or shortfall is recorded at that point, not afterwards.
Before you commit.
The things that most often change the answer, or catch people out.
Access decides the price
A site a truck can reach and turn in costs less to serve than one it cannot. Tell us about the last two kilometres before we quote, not after.
Season and road condition
Highlands and coastal routes are not the same proposition in every month of the year. A quote is for a window, not open-ended.
Insure your own goods
Do not assume our cover extends to your cargo. It is a separate class of insurance, and until we confirm we hold it, arrange your own.
Delivery of a BNBM order is different
If the goods are ours until they reach you, that is ordinary delivery and it is arranged with the order — not through this page.

About this service.
Do you run a scheduled freight service?
No. We move our own stock between branches, and quote customer loads where there is capacity on those runs. It is not a timetabled service.
How is it priced?
Per load and per route, quoted in writing. There is no published rate card, because weight, access, distance and season all move the answer.
Do you deliver outside the National Capital District?
Delivery of your BNBM order is arranged branch by branch. Ask the branch holding your goods what it can do to your site.
Are my goods insured while you carry them?
Treat the answer as no until we confirm otherwise in writing, and arrange your own cover. See the note at the foot of this page.
Tell us the load and the route.
Weight, dimensions, packing, both ends of the trip and the window you need. We will tell you whether we have capacity before we talk about price.
