Who we are
This website, www.bnbmpng.com, is run by BNBM PNG Limited (Company Reg. No. 1-18664), Varahe Road, Gordons, Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea. This notice explains what personal information the website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
If you only browse, we collect nothing that identifies you. Our hosting provider records standard connection details (your network address, browser type, pages requested) in its access logs for security and to keep the site running.
If you create an account, we collect the email address you sign in with, the name, phone number and company name you choose to add, your preferred branch, the items on your enquiry list, and the enquiries you send us. We also keep a record of each sign-in (time, network address, browser) so that we can spot misuse of your account.
Why we collect it
To send you the codes you sign in with; to keep your enquiry list for you between visits and devices; to answer your enquiries with a price and availability from the branch you choose; and to keep your account secure. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
Who can see it
BNBM PNG staff who handle your enquiries and administer this website. Your information is stored by our website hosting provider and our email delivery provider, who process it only on our instructions to run this website. We do not share it with other companies for their own purposes. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your account and enquiry list stay while your account is open. Sign-in records are kept for a limited period for security. Enquiries you have sent are kept as business records. When you delete your account we remove your personal details from it, delete your saved enquiry list and your reviews, and keep only what we must retain as a business record — see Delete your account.
If you apply for a job
When you send an application through our Careers page we collect your name, phone number, the email address and CV you choose to give us, where you would like to work, when you could start, and what you tell us about your experience. We use it only to consider you for work with BNBM PNG Limited. It is seen by the staff who handle recruitment. We keep an application for twelve months and then delete it automatically, together with any CV you attached, unless you have been taken on — in which case it becomes part of your employment record. You can ask us at any time to delete your application before then. BNBM PNG Limited never asks anyone for money at any stage of recruitment.
Your choices
You can see and update your name, phone number and company name under My account, and set or change your password there. To change your sign-in email, contact us and we will do it for you. You can delete your account yourself under My account, Account security (how to delete your account). If you think any information we hold is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
The BNBM PNG app
Our app — whether you install it from Google Play or add the website to your home screen — opens this website in a full-screen window of your phone’s Chrome browser. It uses the same account, asks for no extra permissions and collects nothing beyond what this notice already describes. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account; use Delete your account for that.
Cookies
The website uses only the cookies it needs to work: a short-lived cookie from the browser check that protects our catalogue, a sign-in cookie when you are signed in, and a small cookie that shows your name in the menu. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages do not load Facebook; links to our Facebook page open on Facebook itself.
Security
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or a password you may choose to set. Connections to the website are encrypted. Changing your details asks for a fresh emailed code even while you are signed in. We will never phone or email you asking for your code or password — if anyone does, it is not us.
Contact and changes
Questions about this notice or about your information: use the Contact us page or write to the address above. We may update this notice; the date below tells you when it last changed. We handle personal information in line with the laws of Papua New Guinea.
